Lancaster University – Exchange Program

Last year, I have decided to do an Exchange Program as part of my study to enrich my experience in Creative Industries.  I was given a place to study at Lancaster University and I was lucky enough that the university is providing BSL interpreters for my class.

Since arriving at Lancaster University, there has been a lot of reference to Harry Potter about this university as it is not within a town or city.  It’s about 4km outside of Lancaster town, surrounded by countryside and bit of woodland.  Also there is 9 houses (collegiate) rather than 4 houses. All houses have pub, lounge, and chill out  area.  I am in Bowland College which is named after the is named after the Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty which sits to the east of Lancaster.  I have the view of Alexander Square.  Here is the image of the university to give you an idea where I am staying – https://i.ytimg.com/vi/vttG7lDoGf4/maxresdefault.jpg.

I am mostly focusing on Creative Writing here at Lancaster University while dabbling in theatre.
