Leadership seems to be the theme of the year 2014 in various areas such as women and leadership, leadership in Australia; and disability leadership.
Vulcana Women’s Circus delivered a small forum on Women and Leadership to encourage the discussion of what leadership means for women and how they achieved to be in the leadership position. Many of the women have mentioned that we have a long way of reaching equality for any leadership position in today’s society. The most message was that we are all bad leadership regardless of our gender as we have to make the decisions at the end of the day that may or may not impact others.
Emma Bennison whom is a CEO of Access Arts Australia, is embarking on a journey to explore disability leadership and how we can encourage people with disability to be in a leadership position. For more information, please visit her blog: http://emmabennison.wordpress.com/ I look forward to keeping track of her journey. Please do follow her blog, if you haven’t done so.
