It is time to be thankful and no it is not thanksgiving here in Australia. It has been a very big year for me trying to manage everything and keeping myself sane along the way. I am really impressed with what I have done so far. I wouldn’t have done this without the people that had supported me massively.
First of all, I would like to say thanks to my partner for putting up with me and crazy emotional journey throughout the year – being massively stressed with the changes happening with my fulltime employment, my master degree, and driving the Deaf Arts Queensland program under Access Arts. Without her, I wouldn’t be here writing this blog. She has been trying her best to keep me sane and feeding me chocolate…. Occasionally going to bottle shop to get me wine! Thanks darling!!
Secondly, I would like to say massive thanks to Vulcana Women’s Circus for delivering the circus classes – I would be insane without my weekly aerial workout!! Furthermore, Rebecca, whom is the Community Engagement Co-ordinator, has been a massive help with guiding the direction of my grant application and Deaf Arts Queensland initiative. I wouldn’t have done it without Rebecca’s wisdom!! As you are aware, I am just an ordinary Policy Officer with massive knowledge about environmental management – the transition of going from environmental management to Arts Management has been huge learning curve3 – Really massive thanks to Vulcana Women’s Circus and especially Rebecca. If they didn’t exist today, I wouldn’t be where I am now. Vulcana Women’s Circus has been a big part of my life.
Lastly, I would like to say big and massive thanks to my friends who has been very supportive of me and keep encouraging me to keep going. You know who you are!! I look forward to relaxing and having decent dinner with wine. Thanks to those people who has been helping me with Deaf Arts Queensland initiative.
